Welcome to True Traverse City!
We had some technical difficulties in early August, and decided we might as well begin anew. So, welcome to the new TrueTraverseCity.com.
This site offers a local point of view all about the small town of Traverse City, Michigan. It’s a summer paradise with beaches, lakes, forests, rivers, festivals, restaurants, museums and more. Water takes center stage around here in summer, primarily in the form of the twin Grand Traverse bays and Lake Michigan.
People also come here to partake of our annual National Cherry Festival, the Traverse City Film Festival, and a variety of festivals throughout the warm months both in Traverse City and in nearby communities like Leland, Kalkaska, Cadillac, Frankfort and Elk Rapids.
